Savings Bond ProŽ - What's New
Savings Bond ProŽ Version 4.0 changes include:
- Bond Pro's Treasury File. This file contains a list of bonds reported to the Treasury as lost, stolen, destroyed, or not received. Updates of the Treasury File will be available with each release of redemption values. If you use the Serial Number Review feature, the Treasury File will become a part of your Bond Pro application.
- Serial Number Review Feature. This optional feature can be activated on the System Configuration screen. The Serial Number Review feature helps to reduce improper payments. If the feature is activated and you price or redeem bonds, Bond Pro requires you to enter the serial number for every bond you're processing. Each serial number will be verified against Bond Pro's Treasury File. If a match is found, Bond Pro will instruct you on what to do; it'll print a Customer Notice (instructions for the customer to contact the Treasury to find out the status of the bond) and request you return the bond to the customer with that Customer Notice. You will not be able to process this bond.
- Bond Pro Configuration File. This file has been updated to include the Internet address of the Treasury File. This address is used when you download the file from within Bond Pro.
- Bond Order File Report. You can sort this report by Customer SSN/TIN, Customer Name, or Inscription Name. The report also now includes an inscription name (if it's different from the purchaser name).
- Customer Summary Report. You can create summary reports for customers. Just enter the customer, location, and time frame; Bond Pro summarizes the customer's savings bond transactions, redemptions, and issues.
